That was before I realized that 71 started the horrible fastback body style and that 70s are still appealing to me visually.
Love the first gen fastbacks. Dad had a 69 mach 1 and a 70 boss. They’re starting to fetch big money with correct numbers, cleanliness and topLoaders. GL with search!
 more classics rolling around. would be very interested in helping with a new 5.0 swap. jus sayin
 I have thought about that. The bummer is that clean shells are not that much less expensive than a clean runner.
And since that motor set up is almost 15k all said and done, the car would have to be around 5k and that doesn’t seem to exist.
I hear ya that is how I ended up with a running/driving nova and not a roller. What I did worked out great so something to consider. Drove it for a season as is to make sure I loved it and then end of season i listed the motor/trans while the car was still running. I ended up getting around 4k for all of the parts I pulled off too which really helped kick start the build.
No matter what it will be sweet. My 69 maro has old school power in it and I like it.(old school sounds so good)
Yeah, I had my eyes on an awesome restomod in Cleveland…brand new everything but just couldn’t come to an agreement on price. It was a coupe…so that was why I stayed a little more firm on what I was willing to spend.
Found an AWESOME pro touring car in Indiana but the guy stopped responding and took it down…I assume its sold or he opted to keep it.
post some links. I love looking at clean builds. I dont know Fords all that well but a few guys on here can probably lend some good feedback as well.
I really like the way the early ones look. My brother inlaw has a 67? IIRC. It makes cool noises.

I would deff burn some rubber in that.
There is a '68 fastback sitting beside a garage in back of a house in Tonawanda. Right on the river by Old Man River. I have no idea of the condition because it has tarps all over it, but maybe leave a note in the mailbox or something. You can see it from the street if you look quick. Pretty sure its 447 Niagara street.
I will take a ride by. Thanks!
I like em both but maybe the red one a little more.
I love everything about the red one except that it is red.
Forgot about that. Counseling would be cheaper than a re-spray.
If it was blue or gray it would be in the garage.
Look into Mercury Cougars of that generation, based off the mustang and they have a unique look to them.
