In A Rut - Help topics inside

Hey Guys,

Well…it’s been over a year and I’m stuck in a RUT with my 240 swap. My genius friend rushed the tear down and I have scatted nut & bolt hardware and odds and ends up the arsssss. My question to everyone is WHERE ARE THE SHOPS AT? heh, actually I’m desperate and figure I wanna let the pros finish for me. I really don’t wanna let too many people see the progress because really, it embarasses the shit outta me. I just wanna have it towed to a shop (preferably in Edmonton) and have them finish it off. Does anyone have suggestions as to who to see (where to go) that does swaps and a Nissan experienced would be preferable. BTW I don’t have SR20…it’s a CA swap. I miss that car!

(Thanks for hearing the vent… but if you have a reply or any comments PLEASE jot em down!)

go to autodream, its worth the extra money

Isn’t autodream in Calgary? That’d be an expensive tow…

i’m sure there on people on this board from Edmonton that would help you finish the swap yourself, especially if you offered them free beer. :drinkers:

or maybe u should post pictures of where u got lost so far and people on here can guide you or yah offer beer and u’l get a volunteer.

As long as you kept everything there are a lot of guys on here that could help you.

you can always use my usdm ca s13 for reference too

Beers for all who wanna help. Like I said too though, so far my buddy’s garage area is a disaster. Extra beer for the silvers13, the reference would help greatly.

First question on the Help thing, I’m bleeding my clutch as per procedure given in multiple threads and the CA18 Manual, but I am gaining zero pressure against the clutch…am I doing this properly?..will the clutch system build pressure somehow when the motor is fired up?

it will ass long as system is bleeded properly.

It can take a real long while to bleed the system if the majority of the fluid has been lost. Just keep pumping away.

Should I pump through with the drain open for a while? or do the “Open…pump…close…pump” thing for a few hours?

Close, pump, pump, pump, hold down (and keep it down), open, close, lift pedal, pump, pump, pump, hold down, open, close, lift pedal… do that for a while, you’ll likely have to lift the pedal and pump by hand for a bit. Never lift the pedal while you have the slave cylinder valve open, that will just suck in more air.

omg. . .that was my $200 drawback. . . :?

:o thanks for the warning

REmove the clutch damper as well as seen on 1bad180sx’s site.

Do you have a Link to this site?

I went for a search and for anyone who wants a link to the Tech area of www.zeroyon.com (1Bad180sx site) it is
