Since the beginning of civilization, humans have found a need to alter their states of consciousness. Humans have used many different things but these things always become more of a problem to society when governments try to prohibit them in an attempt to control the actions of consenting adults!
The urge or need for adults to alter their states of consciousness or get HIGH is evident in human beings. Some alter their states of consciousness with drugs, alcohol, meditation & even religion! Religious fanatics for example, are blinded by religion from seeing & hearing Logic, Reasoning & Common Sense arguments because they are high on religion.
They are intoxicated by their beliefs & can not be reasoned with because they have faith. Faith or Blind obedience to an un-provable theory is a dangerous thing however, when the un-provable beliefs are forced on others as with the case of legislating morality & religious motivated terrorism by the true believers.
I’ve known people worked up into such a state of religious rightiousness that they acted just like they were coked up. there are people who thrive on that sense that they are part of a grand scheme and their lives have meaning.

First off…your right…everyone IS subjected to drugs, smoking, drinking, and sex… And of course Im not going to be LAZY. Laziness has nothing to do with it. Its the whole point that its on Television in the first place. And I hate to break the news …but it IS on daytime T.V. Soap operas and every friggin talk show has cusswords and sex. I’m going to be a good parent and censor what my kids watch and teach them right from wrong, but you can only do so much. When it comes down to it…all of you are saying that cussing, and profanity, and nudity, and drugs and drinking are COOL…and that its fun to watch on T.V. Thats just down-right disturbing. I dont even know why i waste my time arguing. You can all do what you want, but i feel that its wrong. I dont think EVERYTHING should be censored, but if I’m cleaning the house or something and I walk in the living room and see my daughter flipping through channels with cussing and nudity on them, then thats a bit much. The whole point of this censor crap is not because they just decided to all of a sudden crack down…there is a reason behind it. Television and radio is getting WORSE as the years go on…Stations are getting away with more and more.

question about the ark/flood…what did they do about fish & water mammals…correct me if i’m wrong but wouldn’t the fresh water creatures end up in the sea or vise versa…so did they take one or the other onto the boat or what…most salt water fish can’t live in fresh water same with fresh water fish in salt water.

Ever watch tv from England - the standards there are way “worse” than here, yet society seems to be functioning fine. It’s just like how booze is treated here versus the remainder of the world - no big deal if you learn to drink wine or something with the family, but as soon as it’s “bad” or you keep it from people they will want it more. It would take about 3 months of the f word being on tv before it was played out and no one cared. Once the newness is gone our shitty society will move on and concentrate on stupid celebrities more.
