I think it comes down to the particular situation. If you’re in a good relationship with someone who is awesome then cheating is like why even bother, especially if you know it will only hurt the other if it were ever to be found out. But when you’re just settled into one of those drag-on relationships where it’s all kinda worn off and now the other person is mostly just a pain in the ass then its like eh well who cares I can’t wait to get rid of this fuckbag anyways. Plus the new person might end up being a kickass replacement so its almost an incentive to get out there and find someone better. And no relationship will survive if the sex sucks. If she’s lousy in the sack its virtually a guarantee that sooner or later I’m gonna be banging her friends

But also we do live in the age of instant gratification in this county, and for a lot of people you combine that with the increasingly popular obsessive opportunist mentality and all we’re left with is a society of heartless sharks looking to do whatever or whoever it takes to get ahead (ie-find someone better looking/more exciting/more $$/etc). People go out and fuck up something really good without thinking it through only to lament once its too late. Its the grass-is-greener thing. I know so many people that jump from one relationship to another trying desperately to find someone better but they’re never happy.

I think the mentality of what our culture has become has a lot to do with it, opportunist by definition means one who is never satisfied and always looking for something better

STM pretty much hit the nail on the head. I will also add that women in the work place has greatly changed things. I am not saying women shouldn’t work but seriously think about how different it was, companies full of just men and women at home not being exposed to men really. I wish I were a mailman back in those times. Now you (men and women) are exposed to tempatation all day everyday. I purposely don’t hire females I find attractive.LOL

I never have and never would cheat. Fuck the other person, I hold myself to that standard for me. I’ve got enough shit on my conscience, I don’t need that. My wife would never cheat, but if she ever did she’d be out the door. Not because I’d want her to leave, but because I could never truly trust her again. Sorry folks, that’s just how it works. Once a cheater always a cheater.

Of course this is just a standard I hold myself to. I’m not judging any of you who admit to having cheated. I don’t care.

As for people who give a shit about Tiger, I have two thoughts:
#1 - Don’t act surprised. I want to slap people who act stunned that having a talent with a ball that you can use to make money doesn’t automatically make you a saint. Tiger, Michael Vick, whatever. You are who you were before you got there. Maybe we shouldn’t idolize athletes? Hrm?

#2 - If you have asked “Why would he cheat on such a beautiful woman?” then you are a superficial whore. Is it somehow more justifiable to you to cheat on ugly broads?
