Initial D (Live Action)

I saw the live action Initial D movie two nights ago. If you’re at all into drifting, or you like the anime/manga, it’s worth seeing. It’s a much better movie than the car movies made here.

They take a couple liberties with the characters, but it’s pretty true to the original. If you have the ability to see it, it’s worth two hours.

where did you see it at?

lol cartoons can do great stuff in cars

i may or may not have seen an illegal subtitled copy of it.

Any idea where somebody could, uh, find a copy (illegal or otherwise) of their own? I’ve known about the website for a while and I’ve been very interested in seeing the entire movie.

I would like to see it as well. Also looking for information about if/when Dust to Glory is going to come out on dvd. Also waiting for any info on 32 hours 7 minutes

hrm, Was this posted on here before? I might be thinking of Honda-Tech… Wonder if any Newsgroups have them or of Netflix has it yet lol.

I just got my North Amercian copy with English subtitles. It was worth buying, very good racing sequences.

You guys got it at Speednation? I was going to order a copy on line but if you guys have it I’d rather get it from you guys.

I bought “Dust to Glory” and it’s pretty interesting. Some amazing footage of the Baja.

i wanna see it

No we don’t. The bottom fell out of the DVD market when everybody got burners and was able to copy stuff and sell it illegally for $10.00 on every stinkin’ website out there. We hardly sell any DVDs at all lately, mainly just to overseas people who can’t find bootleg copies locally. We’re just carrying some Best Motoring stuff right now and the Pure Drifting DVD and have eliminated everything else.

Go check out Ebay or Google, there’s boatloads of people selling them but you’ve got to make sure you find somebody selling copies with the English subtitles and the proper region for North American players. Some bootleg copies are under $10 but I ponied up about $20 for the official North American version with two DVDs and lots of bonus features.
