i’m having a huge problem installing my Cd player in my 95 park ave. the mounting area is not deep enough. the metra install kit is fuckin garbage. it has no provision for entending out to compensate for lack of mounting depth. my question is, can i get a install kit that will allow me to do this? Can anyone do this for me? i’m at wits end and want to lauch all my cars off a cliff. simple shit that doest go simple.
wire harness is done… all i need is the cd player mounted and then i can put the dash back together on my own. thanks- bob
dremel tool and cut out the back of the dash?
i’d be there a pretty long time with a shit load of metal all over the place
do it gangsta and just leave it sit in the open bay without any install kit.
metra makes a multi kit for the older GMs. It has a 1 or 1.25" extension. Looks fugly, but might work for ya. The multi kit comes with 3 or 4 different face plates for different depths.
The said metra kit is a 99-4544 part number. I think you have to use the factory mounting tabs from the factory radio and the largest extension that comes with the kit
the metra kits are junk. i wish lightning audio still had their kits out.
a used a combo of two different kits but now i gotta make a surround for it and trim out the dash opening. fuckin junk.
