Does anyone in the area know how to install valve springs and retainers i just ordered a set of s2000 springs and retainers and a new head for my car so i wont install the head till i get the springs in there… anyone want to help/teach me it would me much appreciated!! im a poor college student so i dont really want to have a shop do it
There are a few excellent tools to do this but they’re expensive…and there’s a few decent tools but they’re finicky. Someone posted the pep boys spring compressor as being decent and not real expensive. I’d search for it myself, but I’m too lazy.
lol well auto zone rents tools they may have one ill check it out
S2k springs may be hard to do with handheld tools, probably need pneumatic
i was talking to one of the people on myu ep3 forums and he said he had done them before he didnt say how but its not like he owned a shop or anyhting so i figured you could do them with minor tools but idk ill talk to him again…i might drive out to philly and see him to have him hook up my springs but thats a long ass drive
