Run Memtest. I can’t count how many times an XP load failed and it turned out to be memory related.
yeah usually the cdrom drive or the disc itself… when u swapped drives, did u try a new ide cable as well?
No, the CDroms are like cartridges. I believe their the hotswapable type of units… just eject, put in the new one and you’re ready to rock and roll
