hey, I’m Ed, new here

fell in love with the 240 when I was like 8-9 years old, had models and a family friend had a 91.

now that Im old enough, been looking for a 240 hatchback but w/ a tight budge tho. :expressionless:

I’m glad that I found this place and I hope to meet get to know all of you guys, all 1000000 + of you

You might have added a few extra 0s on the end there, but welcome to the club.

my name’s stephen bailey.

while, i currently don’t own a 240sx, i would like to buy one in the next month or so. i am under the impression that i can search for a lot of things pertaining to this vehicle, and hopefully i can also ask a lot of questions.

yep… that’s… me i guess.

Hi everyone,

My name’s Ben… Scarborough…26…

I’m new to the Nissan world having been a hardcore Toyota man most of my life. I’ll try not to ask too many stupid Nissan/240 noob questions…

 welcome man. What toyota’s did you drive? 86’s ,supras?

Supras? haha…nothing that legendary…
I personally owned a 96 Camry LE which i’m selling to get my 240. THe Camry is a GREAT car, I don’t care what anyone says… won’t die, will run forever.
My buddy had a MINT 86… THAT was a FUN FUN FUN car to drive…but his bro wrapped it around a lightpost :frowning:
I’ve driven for extended periods practically generation Corolla from the AE86 and onwards, every generation of Camry, both generation of Sienna, a supercharged 4wd Previa and an MR2 turbo that my uncle REFUSED TO SELL ME because my dad threatened to kill him if he did! To put things in perspective, my extended family CURRENTLY has 18 Toyotas and probably has gone through maybe 25 of them in the past 20 years? I’ve experienced Toyota’s rise to glory and have begun to experience it’s decline in quality control and design ineptitude(sp?). So I’ve jumped ship. I’m the black sheep that will stray from the Toyota flock.

hey guys. I’m new to this forum. I live in Toronto and I drive a subaru and an echo hatch. I’m currently thinking about buying a 240 '95 and up.
If I purchase a 240, you can bet it will become a track car.

Nice…welcome to the club. 240’ll keep you happy as a track car.

What kind of Subaru do you drive?

hey DarkForceJackal. Thanks for the friendly welcome. I drive a 2003 specR1 subaru wrx. They were made in low quantity and were all painted in yellow.

To give you an idea, major performance mods include version 7 jdm motor with 6 speed tranny. Recently, I dropped in a custom built 2.5L shortblock with forged pistons. Running 21 psi off a vf34 turbo. The car has not been dynoed recently. Everyone talks about peak horsepower, this car is about the low end torque. I’m guessing 160-170 horsepower at the wheels at 3000rpm. Basically about 220horsepower at the crank. Their is absolutely no lag in this motor. I can light up all 4 wheels in 3rd gear. The turbo is too small and chokes after 5000rpm. I;m guessing my peak horsepower is about 300 at the wheels. A bigger turbo can make this a reliable 500 horsepower car. But I’m sticking to the small turbo.

Stopping is aided by 4pot apRacing big brake kit.
10:1 quick ratio steering rack.
sti 12 litre intercooler spray tank.
tein coilovers.

there’s a long list of mods so I won’t get into every detail.

projector headlights with hid, C-west complete kit and chargespeed wing adapter gives the exterior a little enhancement.

joe

Holy crap. Sounds like a blast Joe! I love lighting up tires once in a while too (check my sig). Seems like you’ve covered all aspects of the car pretty well.

Beside your Echo & Subaru, with a 240, i’m sure you’ll be able to appreciate a nice, low, car with a good (low) centre of gravity (especially lowered)! Nice & easy, fun & rewarding to work with (when it’s behaving…).

See ya around dude!

hey guys my name is chris, I live in brampton and I own a 300zx…I want to get rid of it for something else…I dont know what I want yet, but because of insurance and money problems im probably going to setttle on something as crappy as a ford tempo…sucks…but such is life…SO SOMEONE PLEASE BUY IT !! thanks

Hi my name is Mark, I’m 22 live in Toronto and I am currently driving a crappy Buick trying to save some money to buy a 240sx

Hey there is nothing wrong with Buicks. 4 of the best all american cars in the world were built by Buick 1970 Buick GSX, 1971 Buick Riviera 455 split window, 1987 Buick Grand National(my dream car) and 1991 Buick Lesabre (my winter and long distance car!) Don’t put down the Buicks bro they are great cars.

ya but this is my car except 100 times worse, its like those cars you see on overhaulin. but for 200 bucks canadian can’t be beat and insurance is dirt cheap but I still haven’t managed to save money to get a new car, well I have the money to buy the car but then how am i going to pay for insurance?

oh ya the pic ----> http://www.epinions.com/auto_Make-1991_Buick_LeSabre

Want to get the hell back to 5 speed. Lookin for info since my pops and I do most work at home. Well I’m sure I’ll talk to many of you in time. Peace Out.
