with the new OMGIJUSTCAME iphone4 coming out im assuming all of the apple fanboys have their old 3g POS 8gb iphone sitting around gathering dust.
can i use an iphone as an ipod touch? just dont have service connected, but still be able to use wifi where its available? able to access the app store, use safari ect with no prob even with no service, just via wifi?

yes, if you Jailbreak the iphone u can use it without a cell provider for all u said… also i will have 2 iphone for sale in the next week or so. both black 3g 8gb one for $75 and one for $150 best offer, just need to order my iphone4

If the iPhone is restored to factory it needs to be jailbroken. Bc it then needs to be set up through iTunes. But if you buy an iPhone from someone there is a good change u can ask then to not factory reset it.

Just take out the SIM card. As long as you don’t mind seeing NO SIM in the corner where iPod is usually displayed, its the same damn thing.
