don’t carry anything longer than 18". Baseball bats/golf clubs will be easily taken from you when the fighter dodges a swing.

people are crazy…if I was 21 I would carry a gun and it makes me paranoid that all I have in my car is a weapon. I had an incident about 3 weeks ago where I was on mt lebo blvd. and this old man was driving 10 MPH or under in a 25 zone. i beep at him for no longer then a second because i wasnt trying to be a dick about it but people behind me were getting pissed so he needed to get moving. he makes a right on a side road i take to mt lebo bball courts (still going slow as a snail while hes making this turn) and he parks his car right next to a another car parked on the road and it’s a two lane road so he blocked me off.
he then proceeds to get out of his car so im like whatever and get out of my car. then i noticed this dude had to be around 60…plus he was fat as hell. he then starts saying a whole bunch of shit like im a little shit, i dont know anything, he’s going to throw me over this fence, blah blah. then he walks up to me and tries punching me in the face and i just grabbed him and told him to get back in his car. of course he doesn’t listen to me and there is atleast 20 people onlooking with backed up traffic and people start getting out of there cars and looking at me like it’s my fault because he’s 40 years older then me so obviously im the one starting trouble. i just get back in my car and hes still standing there talking to this lady then finally he gets back in his car. i followed him until he came to the next stop sign and just sat there for about 20 seconds before i just gave up and illegally passed him because i had enough at that point. he tried yelling at me out of his window again but i just drove off. that old man is the reason why i’m never using my horn again because apparently it translates into fuck you, pull over and lets fight. i seriously don’t know what people are thinking sometimes, you have to be fucking crazy to be that old and try to hurt someone that much younger then you…if I would’ve defended myself i’m 100% I could literally beat him to death. he was so slow and fat. he probaly thinks hes a bad ass now and hes going to get hard with the wrong kid one day…sigh. 
honest to god that man who tried to beat me up in the middle of rush hour was about 60 years old, my girlfriend was like hysterical in the passenger seat

people are all in their own world now adays. no one is polite on the roads especially in traffic… like hey asshole it wouldn’t hurt to let one person go… people don’t know how to merge either. but back on the weapons thing. i didn’t realize that most clubs in PGH don’t search you and my boy said about 30% of people pack heat when out at a club/bar…thats fuckin nuts, drunk asses with guns.

you shold’nt need any weapon… but as stated, pepper spray and a nice club / mag lite would do the trick… or a taser… ZAP!

I carried when I lived in the city- and if I ever needed to protect myself or my wife from a real threat I would have. (Actually, I did need it once or twice, but I digress).
But using my firearm because someone made me mad while driving? Or because someone got mad at me while driving?
I’d hope that someone with a gun is mature and responsible enough to just keep driving. 
I was driving through a parking lot (sam’s club) one day, and there was a shitload of traffic, so I was going real slow. Some black guy in a jag was flying up the one lane and didn’t bother stopping and starting to pull out and nearly hit me. I slammed the brakes and said (with windows shut) “Mother fucking asshole!”. Well, the guy pulled up and blocked my lane, got out the car and told me that I should watch my mouth… so I told him he should slow down cause he scared the shit outta me, and he told me again to watch my mouth cause he “ain’t nobody’s mother fucking asshole”. :hsugh: Yeah, way to act like it buddy!
If I had that situation happen again, I’d reach for my phone and call 911 and tell him he had 10 seconds to step away from my car.
Or perhaps I’d just use my crime deterrent (anyone see that commercial???

I lived in the East End (Morningside, East Liberty, and then Highland Park in chronological order) up until January of this year…and if I wouldn’t have had a gun on at least one occasion, I probably wouldn’t be typing this right now.

Not sure who your referring to, but the main reason I said I’m getting a gun is b/c I’m going to school to become a cop…just figured I’d get one for a head start.
i had to go to court with my dad last summer because some old ass dude tried pulling him out of his car while I was in it in the P.O. parking lot. this dude was 70 years old and my dad is about 54 and i know my dad can beat the fuck out of me. when my dad finally got out of the car the 70 year old dude KICKED my dad lol. my dad was able to push him down while random people watching held the dude back. i was so scared because i was afraid my dad was going to hit him and end up going to jail because someone called the cops but luckily nothing happended to my dad and the dude got 6 months on probation (which is bs)… but yeah, I love elderly people to death but when they are operating a vehicle that’s another story…
