Its just the frequencies and what not it operates on that interferes with speakers and possibly Telephones and stuff. Dont worry about it being bad for your health, I mean the waves are alreay zapping around in the air and hitting you, not using a phone isnt going to significantly decrease the amount of radiation you recieve.
