Could this be the problem (beige to brown wire; i peeled back the heat protective to reveal that)

i am tryin to figure out what it looks like and seeing that…damn
i’m on the same page .
basically the silver/black protector covered the beige/white wire , and all 3 wires were covered by black tape …

That looks the same as the one I took apart -I used pins stuck into the TPS wires then connected alligator clips to the pins for the meter readings.
cut the sheething right back inspect the wires for damage if not tape it back up
looks like u had a power arc…
thats where the voltage jumps from wire to wire threw the rubber houseing melting everything, caused by melted or frayed wires.
trace your way back from there about an inch and re solder new wires in properly (use the same gauge wire)
