What happened?

Okkeeyy , so the owner before me completely destroyed the wiring job on the audio . so i took the task of cleaning everything up … and in the midst i had everything wired up ; Although i forgot to protect the (antenna) wire , and in doing so allowed it to touch metal (top of the deck) by accident . nothing visual but i heard a tick within the dash.

I than turned the deck on ; visual came up for a second than faded out …
another sympton i noticed was the clock on my cluster was not visual.

Verdict : Audio is a no go ; and only other effect i’ve noticed is clock does not work.

I checked all the fuses ( ignition wise) “Electronics” “Audio” “Signals” … same with the fuse on the deck .

So any ideas? …

Hmmm, antenna wire to the amp or for the radio? Check fuses in the engine bay. Mainly the alternator fuse if the car was running. Also check if you battery light is on.

omfg kid. (to djkristal whatever)

check the fuses UNDER THEN DASH beside the drivers feet. it should be a 10 amp. if you cant find it then probe for power if your getting power than its not a fuse. if your not getting power its a fuse…

(P.S. im 99% sure its not ur alt. fuse)

lol i spotteed that b4 u shawn HAHAHA:P

Problem solved

ya the “Room Lamp” fuse skipped my mind cause i never would have thought it had any relation with the clock and radio …
