Is this a good deal LS7 clutch?

I am trying to stay away from spec…I want something where I will give up basically 0 streetability. So I figured Z06 is they way to go, if I was going for a aftermarket clutch I would go Ram HD for that I hear mostly great things. But I guess the question is how much power/abuse could a LS6 clutch take w/DR’s?

Right now I still have the ls6 clutch in my car. It is the 2nd one, the first was repaired under warranty. The only problem that I have with mine is it releases fight off the floor so it is impossible to power shift and sometimes it does not want to go into gear at high rpm’s. I use a full slick at the track. Get gears, 4.10’s or lower it will help driveability. So the answer to the abuse question is that I think that I’ve been lucky with the stock ls6 clutch because it has taken a shitload of abuse from me.

Did you do the “drill mod” …I have heard a few things about LS6 clutch is great for inder 450 RWhp cars, but I did hear a few things about they do not hold up that great when “abused”.

I never did the drill mod. I probably have at least 400 passes on my car so it has taken the abuse but some people are not as lucky. I think when people try to slip the clutch all the time is when the problems start. That’s why a steeper gear will help alot. I only have 10,100 miles on the car. So when I drive it it is driven hard.
