Is this a good deal LS7 clutch?

I am putting a new clutch in the WS6 this summer. I(jj’s) will also be putting in a 01+ slave and drill mod. My original plan was to get a LS6 kit but now I was thinking about the LS7. I figure it will hold up awsome and have like stock streetability. I am wondering if the extra cost is worth it. Here is prices I found for the LS7 clutch and 01+ Slave…do these look good or is there better prices out there?

Complete LS7 Clutch Kit including Pressure Plate, Clutch Disk and LS2 Flywheel… $550.00 Free shipping

GM Pilot Bearing…$10.00 Free Shipping!
GM 2001-2002 Slave Cylinder…$139.95 Free Shipping !

im wondering, will the ls7 work on the ls1?? if soo thats awsome

Ya it will…that is why I am looking into getting one.

Decent price. I would get a new master cylinder as well though.

bics, where did u get the prices from

I thought about that, but the budget won’t allow it. I figured a 01+ slave along with “drill mod” would be fine. I will only take it to the 1/4 a 2-3 times /yr and I will do some autox and road racing. I just want to get the best price possible

It is about 3/4 the way down to the bottom

nice thanks!

I found this deal on a LS6 clutch…it is about 1/2 the cost of the LS7. If this would hold up fine then this would be a lot cheaper. I don’t want to pay for a better clutch when it will be overkill. Anyone ever have any problems with the LS6 clutch?

ls6 clutch is good. esp for your car

Ls9>*

So basically is it worth me spending an extra $250 for the LS7???

I’ve got the ls6 setup, no probs. Only you can decide if the ls7 is overkill. Future mods? Big cam, big spray, FI?

I just got a Ram Powergrip HD and a billet steel flywheel for $520.00 shipped. The flywheel came from amsracing.com. They are a sponser on ls2.com.

What mods do you have on yours? Also how often do you race it. For the future I wouldn’t go much more aggressive that a mildly modded z06 (400-450RWHP).

I was looking into that last year but house expenses came up. I decided it was an awsome setup but for what I would be doing it would be overkill.

I went with the ram because I launch around 6800-7000rpm’s. I heard that they can take the abuse.

The LS6 was enough for my setup. I only had a full exhaust setup, and intake stuff(ls6 mani, lid, ssra, ported tb…) and suspension stuff. Stock cam/heads. The LS6 setup should still be able to hold a nice 224 and lower cam.

Just get the ram clutch I have heard guys running in the 10s with that clutch

i have a clutch and flywheel with literaly 10 miles on it pm me its a spec stage 3
