same thing happened with my old wheels (the finish looked brand new before, and ended up with HUGE scuffs on them after). The shop told me to go pound salt
you could maybe just sand it out. working from like 400grit to 2000 all wetsanding. then use mothers aluminum polish. i did that to fix the curb rash on the motegi’s on the spec with a polished lip.
that’s what i’m thinking. I just don’t know if i should try and undertake it…
Also, it was NOT fox tire. It was a weird situation. I’m not really sure what/how anything happened, but it did, and there is nothing that whining will change, so i’m just going to move on and deal.

I had something like this happen to the wheels on my Mustang, which look as sweet as yours btw, and have a similar lip. They were damaged in an accident I was in many years ago. Took a hand file to knock everything down, then a “more fine” file to start smoothing it out. Using files got it looking pretty good, then just a few quick passes with sandpaper and polish and it wasn’t too noticeable from a few feet away.
Judging by your damage, and on all 4 wheels, figure a few hours by hand.
the others are only nicks about .5 long.
that’s the only bad one.

Newman, Jim has fixed wheels for me in the past. Jen destroyed one of the wheels on her GTI, and he did an awesome job.

there is a place in hamilton called Wheel Wizards that redoes wheels… they do alot of insurance work as well.
I was in there recently, they have some huge electronic analysis tools that they stick the wheels on… it’s messed.
