recently bought 90 rb hatch with isis coilovers i need to raise it up(snowplow) and dont have a clue how to do it properly im located in cambridge but will drive for help…case of beer or cash you choose the currency
Okay, raise the car and put it on safety stands, unbolt the wheel, then take the 2 bolts off holding the knuckle to the coilovers (on the front theres two, theres only one on the bottom on the rear) seperate the knuckle and the coilover, lossen the lower pertch with the special wrenches, if you dont have them use a standard screwdriver and a hammer to lossen them, spin the piece on the coilover that bolts to the knuckle to your desired heigh and measure the distance between it and the lower pertch, then adjust the other side to the same height, tighten the lower pertch down to the piece on the coilover that attaches to the knuckle with the special wrenches or the screwdriver and hammer. bolt the knuckle back up and put the wheels back on, do the same for the rear. to get the bolts that hold the knuckle to the coilovers off, your going to need a 17mm socket and a breaker bar cuz they’re tight, or you can use a wrachet and put along tube on it for leverage, be careful not to break the bolts because it is easy to do, spray them with penetrating oil or WD-40 and let them sit for about 5-10 min this should help. after changing the heigh it will change the alignment so i suggest getting an alignment done after you do this. if you want. hope this helped good luck
thanks guys
