stopping an m3 from sounding like an $8 accord is no easy task…ask iank.
but I think I’ve figured it out.
steve’s car is sporting a true 2.5-3" Y-pipe into a 4" mid section. I think this is key for both banks of the s54 to “mix” and not sound like 2 3cly motors running in sync.
once steve gets catless headers, the little rasp that is left will be gone, and this car will start to sound like a pissed off v8
the muffler section is comprised of 2 3" mufflers with custom tips that are just as wacky as steve’s fitment.
