So to be honest I have no idea how exactly I came across this but I really like the idea. I’ll be giving it a shot soon to see how it works.
It’s called Returnil. Basicly it’s a program that takes an image of your computer at the state when you isntalled the program, from there it keeps any system changes from sticking. Basicly say your browsing some porn site, all the sudden your systems popping up some crazy shit, Returnil reverts back to the image it created on reboot, and seems to not slow down the initial boot and system startup from what I can see, the only thing it obviously wouldent help with is a MBR virus, but if your somewhat computer literate a 2 min google search will yield how to clear your MBR.
So even if you deleted all your prized pictures, after a reboot they will come back.
Anyways, it also allows you to create a spot on the hard disc to whatever specified size you want that allows you to save a file so it does not get deleted on system restart.
And if youw ant to be able to make system changes acctualy delete things etc, you can easily turn it off so that when you restart the changes wont stick…
May seem like a bit of a lot for an average user, but honestly the concept is awesome.
