I see. Yeah, this is my 3rd semester, but Im really surprised they dont kick me out for grades…
bro u’ll be on academic for a while, ive been since my 2cnd semester. I think as of this spring im getting out of CS and going for informatics. Ill see how that goes, hopefully i dont get the boot at the end of this yr.
more than 3/4 of my freshman floor dropped out by the time diplomas were handed out. i never understood how people can pay 30k+ and then fuck up from lack of effort. even if its mommy and daddy’s money, i would hope beatings are dispersed.
What pisses me off MORE than that is if its STATE or FEDERAL money that gets thrown away.

The lower scholarships are really easy here, because you’re still paying $15k a year. the upper ones are a little harder though…I’m on the Presidential (Full ride @ canisius) but i had a 100.6 HS GPA and 1480 SAT…anyway, word to the person who bitched about accounting here, i chose finance instead. Dr. Death scared me off.
wow this thread sounds like my life, i never want to do work then i cram and get shitty grades anyway, at least now i know im not the only one that is failing at UB…
College isn’t that hard. Just do what your supposed to WHEN you’re supposed to, and you’d be suprised how it goes by, both from a time and grade stand point.
to bad i didnt know, i wrote a pretty sweet paper on this topic. could have used it for a …reference…
doubt that…i have to write at least pages on each of three books, “twilight of the idols” by nietzsche, “nausea” by sartre, and the play called “God” in woody allen’s “without feathers”…explaining each thoroughly, putting the specific excerpt asked to be discussed in the context as a whole, and then giving my own professional philosophical standpoint on the reading and what messages can be taken from it…
not just some random paper on existentialism…it sucked.
All you have to do is study for tests and go to class. I havent done shit this semester except study when i had to. I should have a 3.6-3.8 this semester depending on 1 class.
