JayS, this you?

or discharging any firearm in Amherst lol

Piss poor timing on this. Kid seems like a wierdo but i’m sure he’s harmless. He’ll be rung out to dry for this though, the news is going crazy with it.

Went to elementary and middle school with Malcolm, I might have met his older brother a few times back in like 2000

I think he’d blow himself up long before he tried to be a menace. Then again I’ve never met him nor know all the facts of the case to make a full accurate judgement. They seem to be taking the appropriate measures now with psych evals.

Ummm, yeahhh lol

$500k seems ridiculous to me. Yeah, he was shooting a .22 inside the town limits and shouldn’t have been. Had that been the only offense though he would have got an appearance ticket and been sent on his way. But because he had legal chemicals and some bomb making knowledge it’s $500k bail? Give me a break. Does the judge realize anyone can walk into Gander Mountain and buy tannerite to make exploding targets?

Word. Though the stories make him sound like he’s pretty smart, just somewhere on the autism spectrum. Could be he’s not a danger to anyone and had an appropriate backstop for his bottle shooting to prevent ricochets, or he’s pretty far along the autism spectrum thing and can’t grasp that bullets and explosives can hurt people and hurting people is bad.

Armchair psychiatry is the best.

If it weren’t for the batman shooting this would have gone way differently.

It may be a precautionary bail to hold him while they assess his true risk after they found the explosive material. Ya anyone can buy stuff to make explosive targets but they may be using it to determine if a) he is a terrorist and b) how far does his reach go. I highly doubt it but they probably dont want to release the guy on a 5,000 bail or something for a normal offense and find out he has a warehouse filled with pipe bombs and weapons.

With the shootings the past couple weeks, it is a bad time to get caught with anything explosive.

JayS is going to be breaking this guy out of the Amherst holding center on lunch

I do have a muscle car. Time to weld the doors and paint a confederate flag on the roof? Who am I kidding, I’d never make it in through the window.

lol snorted coffee

Truer words have never been written.

This wouldn’t of happened in the city

Ground Zero has remnants of possibly tons of thermite and it gets swept under the rug but this guy gets this treatment for just possessing tannerite? God Bless the USA!

Duncan worked for me. I never had an issue with him. I’m positive this is just sensationalism at its best, unless he went nuts in the past 3 years?

Silly… silly… silly…

such a shame

Read Item #6 on the 4th page;

One of the pipes, which was a white commercial PVC, 26 inches in length by 4 inches width, had the word “bomb” written on the pipe portion of the device,

Shady as fuck. Even if he had no malicious intent, he was going to wind up killing someone.

In this case I’m glad he did something stupid enough to get the Fed’s attention before we found him standing outside an office building muttering about having burned it to the ground.

Yeah, DIY pipe bombs in your apartment is quite a bit worse than making exploding targets with Tannerite.

I had some potato guns that probably looked a lot like pipe bombs though.

Bump. Anybody know what happened? Most recent news articles are from Oct 5, saying he’ll stand trial for bomb things and was released to his parents home in Lockport.

All I know is I went to HS with this kid… He was a strange cookie.
