Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 TT

i would love to see someone use all that and then try to turn in that thing… goood night.

hope it has a roll cage.

if you must have an SUV get a V10 Diesel Toureg or a Cayenne and just be happy with what it has… if you must have more fasterness get something proper

he must have done something right to get big? or used to do something right

Meh I know someone that has a newer generation CTS-V with one of his packages and I’d say it performs quite well.

Won’t argue that it’s overpriced and for people that don’t have a clue how to work on their own cars though.

While I cant speak from personal experience, I have customers who can.

Yeah, he was one of the first. And if you don’t know the STORIES of him, then you have no idea who you are talking about. He built his business on the backs of ignorant people while he took advantage of them, lied, cheated, and stole to claw his way forward- and the stories are EVERYWHERE. Ever heard the term “Hennescrewed”? That means that a tuner takes your money and strips your car to sell off its valuable parts. I think he was once regarded as the most crooked tuner in the industry. While he does not appear to have nearly as many unhappy customers these days, it doesn’t change the fact that none of those old guys [that I know of] were ever paid back. A leopard doesn’t change its spots.

He is “this big” because he was always good at marketing, and getting into the right magazines. “Rich guys” read magazines, and tend to avoid the forums, where all of his personal nonsense is located.

And that’s fine… but so far as his Viper packages, he offers nothing, and I mean nothing, that competes with any of the other Viper tuners out there. But, his prices are sure up there with everyone else’s in the same way as this Jeep above. I am not saying packages in general aren’t expensive, but he is DOUBLE what most everyone else charges with HALF of the quality and technology! I cant speak for any GM products, but that’s the way his Vipers have been for a LONG time.

ahh, makes sense, and yes i def do not know him

As far as the HEMI vehicles he has “tuned” most of them don’t have any miles on them because they break, and then sit @ Hennessey in the lot waiting for “warranty work” …

Putting Twin Turbos on a vehicle will make it fast, thats what they do, but charging 200k to do it is the screwjob.

bing - Until you’re in one or own one, you’ll never understand. These Jeeps handle better than 99% of what is on the road.

Watch this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2d0A5P6uto&feature=related … and then parts 2 + 3

Bone stock 2012 Jeep SRT8 did 162mph on the autobahn. Then, on a wet track, did 8:40s around the ring. The Queen of the Ring said she could have gone faster.

Other cars that ran similar times (I don’t know in what trim or by whom)

  • S2K
  • NSX
  • C5 Corvette
  • Lotus Exige

Sabine is sooo fucking attractive. UGH.

Ive been trying to trade Jack my car for his since he brought it home… that thing handles like a dream, I think it might be one of the best handling automobiles Ive been in.

Yes and yes.

Just found some cheap springs in PA… might pick them up for my xmas present. Then she’ll literally be on rails.

Jack-

For some reason I thought you had sold yours (or at least had it for sale)…?

What color is yours? maybe I am thinking of the wrong one.

By the way, have any use for a used rear wheel that needs to be refinished? No rash, just salt=fail.

Nope not sold… I was going to trade it in on a '12, so I was putting it out there to see if I could do 120% of KBB like the dealer was going to… but I couldn’t justify $75k for a Jeep.

I don’t really have a use for one, I’m thinking my stock wheels will be dedicated winter rubber and I’m going to get chrome 22s for the summer, and get rid of the runflats.

This one -

If you get them we are definitley going to the Glen this summer!

I am in the exact same boat. No fucking way I am spending 75K on that Jeep. I love how they are trying to justify its price tag, HILARIOUS. The older version was FASTER for less money than the competition, while the new one is SLOWER with a smaller price gap. There is NO EXCUSE why that truck doesn’t have more power, weigh less, and have a 6-8 speed transmission. And really, it is a brand new generation truck, yet my mothers new loaded Chrysler 300 is one model year older- and hers has the new radio/dash, while the Jeep uses the same audio system that my 2008 has? WHAT THE FUCK? There is no reason that truck should not have the newest audio and electronics in it.

75k for a jeep = better spent on an 08 viper acr

Completely different markets. I like enjoying my crap 365… not 35.

it would depend on where you live, but for buffalo yes

jesus christ 75k? I’ll take the X5 ///M at that price point

Doesn’t the new one have the same engine as the new 300 srt8? That thing is fun to drive and considerably less than $75k. I know AWD and more sheet metal will bring a premium but that is a big bump.

Exactly their point, but I would go X6 ///M.

id take the srt8 over those two any day, less potential + more mainteance + just another rich guy in a bmw
