A day I’ll never forget…

Me and my Dad were watching T.V one day and I was flipping through channels. He turned to me and said “Hey, you ever see that show Hardcore Porn”… He thinking he said “Hardcore Pawn”… Biggest poker face of my life.

i worked at harbor freight tools for a couple years, i can only imagine how it is to run a pawn shop, but on the bright side you can tell people to fuck off once they go past a certain point of douchebaggery.

I am an accountant- started my career at a tax firm working 65-70+ hours a week during tax time to get my “base knowledge” and am now working as a controller for a local construction firm that hired me to do clean up work and get their financial status back on track. I use my brain compartment 9+ hours a day at work for a mediocre salary. I absolutely love what I do and couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else in life, but I know I will continue to work day in and day out…

For 3 months after tax time last year I worked for a non-profit making really good money to do NO WORK… literally worked 4-5 hours a week… At the time I loved it, but 4-5 years of working at that job I wouldn’t have anything to add to my resume and would be so rusty. I am challenged at my job everyday and will be able to say I helped turn around a $35-30 million company on my resume.

I do get very jealous of all of you “staties” and those of you who say you don’t have to do much work at “work”… soak it up while you can!!!

I could never only really work for 3-4 hours a week. I would go insane with boredom.

Same… I’m lucky that my job has a good balance of crazy busy and really slow… once you get bored, it picks up - once you’re sick of it, it settles down.

My job is pretty random sometimes. Theres days when I bust my ass and others where I sit on my ass and do almost nothing.

This week there was quite a bit of traveling because I had to go to Plattsburgh one day and Willsboro twice.

I work on anything from small gram scales to truck scales so theres a bit of variety.

I spent all last week at a pharmaceutical manufacturer. Gowning up and down several times a day got old real quick.
