I am fortunate to finally have a job that I enjoy. Ive had some really shitty jobs since I got laid off in Oct 2008. Going to school and having a part time job that’s good is almost impossible. Ive been at the shop where work now for 3 years next month. I learn stuff all of the time, my boss is really cool and its very laid back. I am able to work on my cars anytime I want, I don’t get paid a ton but having access to a shop/ place to store my cars 24/7 is very nice. My only complaint is the distance. Commuting 40 miles a day sucks. Eventually I will move on and find a better job but for right now its great.
This is where it’s at and why I love my job!
Considering he money I make for my age and the actual work that I have to do I am very grateful to be where I am. It would be nice to have a job that I actually love to go to and really enjoy though. Someday…
Ditto.
Just got a raise in my review today… I like my job a little more now. :lol
This thread is terrible. I spent all day with my feet on the windowsill. I got fuckin drywall all over my Timberlands. Fuck my life.
BITCH!!!
:hug
Don’t worry, it was only 4%, haha.
I got 1.5% but thats not bad considering it was based on October thru December of last year
Mine is October - date, so I’m not complaining. I expected about half of that.
I really didnt expect anything since I started 9/24. It ended up being about 26 cents an hour. Not huge but not bad considering I was training for most of that time and spent two weeks in Ohio training.
At my job i get mad when i miss craigslist deals. I’m a full time craiglist/facebook browser
:rofl
It’s already been confirmed via IP that they are one in the same lol. And it wasn’t a phone IP.
While I love my job, it’s difficult at times. Some people are just impossible to please, and I work in a profession where I’m judged heavily before a customer even gets on the parking lot due to the reputation car salespeople have. From the moment any conversation is initiated, they have their guard up and on a lot of people, it can be difficult to overcome. I’ve showed people the invoice of vehicles before to show how aggressively priced a vehicle was. People automatically assume that even when that happens, we’re managing to make $5k on a vehicle no matter what. Car sells for $3k? We’re making $5k.
