Dude I have nothing against what you are doing nor do I know anything about how this car was treated.
But first, some facts:
(1) If you didn’t already notice, this site is mostly about bash / hate. If I won the lottery tomorrow and bought an Underground Racing Gallardo and made a pic thread, it would still get bashed by someone saying the rears need a 10 mm spacer. So don’t worry about it too much.
(2) You state outright that your car was in an F&F movie. After you notice that no one likes the tuna here, and that a couple of SR20DEs would fetch a premium before race wars, you’ll find that Shift has the largest collection of F&F quotations, 2nd only to Wikipedia. People are just waiting for the perfect thread to unleash the fury, and if your car was in the movie, well…

(3) Supposedly the car was beat on in its previous life, according to Shift. Must be true, because everyone here knows your car better than you do.
Case in point: Two weeks ago Gordon Murray posted about his McLaren F1 (that he happened to design single-handedly), only to find out from a forum member that some of the gold in the engine compartment came from one of Singh’s chains, and that the headlights were actually replaced with Gearhead “joints” before it made its way out of the Woking factory.
All of which was true. So, again, remember:

Lastly, it’s great you are thick skinned enough to deal with all this. Props for that.
