So I had to change the oil pan gasket in my truck and when I got it off I found all kinds of neat stuff in there. I found half of the dipstick and rtv sealer, which also clogged over half of the oil pump. What kind of retard seales the oil pan with rtv instead of spending the 30 minutes and $10 for a new gasket?

I hear ya. I had to fix all kinds of stuff while I was in there. The retard even put the fan shroud on upside down. I can’t wait to see what else I will find.

my manual [dealer manaul] for my mx6’s says use rtv! for oil pan!
but i went to autozone and saw they made a cork gasket so of course i went the easy way out…
vw uses silcone for their gasket…
