Looks like quite a track day!
Michael was flying! He only beat Julian by a second in April but posted an almost 5 second better time in June. Was the Festiva running ok?
Rob, Atta boy - You were flying! The 240 did the stuff. You beat the Festiva decisively this time. Did your driving improve that much or was the Festiva only running on 3 cylinders? :E
Colin, is this pre or post LSD performance? I love seeing that Altima run! Smooth, aggressive, quiet - yet threatening.
Looking good Dave! It looks like the 240 is moving up the food chain. How to go!
Davor, Hope the day was a blast and you weren’t too busy to shoot a roll or two of film. Can’t wait to see some shots!
Kent. WTF? Were you running miled out Gatorbacks? Bought Flavio’s clutch bracket? :E Just kidding man! I see there’s only two times - something musta been goofed.
Matt - See above. Is the turbo and the LSD installed? Maybe there was just too much power… Talk to me!
Hope a good time was had by all! Hopefully I’ll be able to make the July event.
Dan
the course was constantly higher speeds on the back side. It was definatly not a course designed for the festiva. I was in third for the whole back except for one breaking wall. Compared to the last one were i never got out of second.
Now i need some brakes and some grippier front tires.
Oooo… Sounds like a GTR course!
:E
thx for the awesome event
lol the festiva i think was running good, it was pushing ALOT for the first 3 runs but it was only because my rear was wayyy wayy to high…
but even when we made the adjustment i just could notttt shave my time
congrats to everyone on their great results
it was fun im commin out to the next event
Hey Cory (shorti) learn to drive you dick! :finga:
Thanks for another great event. It was a lot of fun, once again. Moving up slowly Gotta fix the boost leak before the next event!!
No LSD yet! Quaife is still working on it, it’s going slow. I put in a CAI so it sounds a bit meaner now, and I have a strut tower brace on order. Think I need to get some adjustable camber brackets as my fronts are still plowing over even at 42 psi, seriously cupped now!
Nice job guys!
Almost a solid Nissan sweep of the leader board.
Rob, next time man… next time. :yawinkle: :drinkers:
Lets see, I need:
- more neg. camber
- get rid of my hicas
- stiffen my sway bars
etc.

Dan, I blew my turbo after the second lap around the track … not a good day at all. The Supra diff was in, but the LSD was more worn than expected, it was still lighting up the inside tire. I literally got about an hour of driving in the car before the turbo went, we had just finished it Sunday morning. It had seemed to be running decently until the bearing locked up in the turbo. I have yet to pull it out to find out what happened. I hope it was just a shtty turbo and not overheating or anything like that.
Hehe, plus my suspension setup wasn’t exactly optimal. I had the Eibach front springs in and the 500lb-in Afco springs in the rear, still running Monroe Sensatracs all the way around. By the next track day I’ll have the full TRD suspension setup in, Cusco camber plates, Hawk HP+ pads, hopefully a nicely tuned boosted car and some actual rubber underneath it.
Until then, hey, I beat a few people still. :E

Matt,
Good perspective! I’m not sure I’d be calm enough to type if I only got an hour of driving after countless hours of work!
If you’re worried about overheating the turbo I can give you hand with some temperature instrumentation. I ran across a source for a $35 thermocouple signal conditioner - two channel I think - that would enable either logging or just monitoring with a multimeter.
Good luck getting things running and then tuned!
Dan
it was a nice course. I’m gonna keep coming out to support your event
it’s a good place to learn how to drive rather than trying it on the streets!
it’s fun even though I’m awlays last
Hey… if it wasnt you it would be me… and then i’d cry…
Thanks for taking ones for the team…
The course was realy open this one. I wish i could do alot of mods to my civic. mabe tires…lol
P.S. Thanks for the awsome show DK.
The track was a blast but a bit too fast for the Saturn Wagon’s 100 hp, I think I might have to bring out the Nissan Altima!
