It’s actually a pretty famous car, that no one around here knows much about 
Its a '98 Neon R/T. It was on Popular Hot Rodding TV in 2001. In 2002, it was runner up at the Mopar Nationals. In 2003 they put the Hahn turbo kit on there with the Portfueler setup, but that never works. Basically that is a second set of injectors that fire using a piggyback system to control them. So, the car never met up to its expectations.
Last summer I installed megasquirt on the car for the owner, and tuned it to 8 psi. The car had some kinks to work out, so we weren’t able to push it much past that, as it kept overheating on all the runs.
It’s pretty much built head to tow, but needs all of my neon knowledge to fix it up and get it back to how it should be. It will take a lot of work, but I look forward to it. The basics are there. I’ll get up some pictures and specs of stuff I want to share as I feel more comfortable doing so. The body needs some work, lots of carbon fiber parts (fenders, hood, trunk, gas door), that I probably won’t be keeping on the car, as that money could fund more important parts.
