Its a built 2.0. I need to get you over for this one. Its a 9.2:1 compression motor, Crower Billet rods, Ross pistons, ARP main studs, rod studs, head studs. The head is a DCR special. It was one of Darrel’s backup heads, the same port job that he went 9’s on. Up top its stock cams, with mopar performance rockers/lifters, and then the Unorthodox racing adjustable cam gears, and underdrive pulley. And then a 6.25 qt. Moroso oil pan with baffles.
The motor is hurt, I am hoping its just a head gasket. Its eating coolant somewhere, so I have to find out from where. I am tempted to sell the head and put a stock one on, since I know the stock head is good to at least 500 wheel, but its such a nice job, I want to see what it can do before selling it :eekdance:
Man, that’s a lot of stuff there. I’m kind of surprised, seeing that you got the EVO and STi, you’d get this too though…
Turbododge guys are always turbododge at heart.
Neat pickup. should be a fun little project.
I was wondering when this was actually gonna make it home. If I was at work this week Id stop by and check it out.
Dan
 cant wait to see some progress pics
so you… commute your jeep, store your evo, store your sti and build your neon?
mark its just a professional at making poor decisions.
I really wonder how he can afford to be so dumb.
Haha, you’d be surprised how much money I don’t lose on these deals
I sold my Cherokee, so I am daily driving my STi, storing the evo until spring, and working on the Neon
Update your signature…
well the custom user title still stands.
id have the head pressure tested and check the surfaces. if its all good toss on a HG and see whats up.
Brian
That’s what I will do. Its like a $2000 head, so I am hoping that it has not cracked! I would be all like :feck:
Mark, off-topic but not really…
are you familiar with the Dsport Predator hand helds that are out for the SRT’s?
Worth it?
YES!!! im getting one with my tax return… you can play with it if you want… but they are vin based i guess.
I took off the CF trunk today after work and spent like half an hour putting on the original trunk and spent a lot of time making sure the body lines were perfect. I really want the car to look great when I am done with it (as good as it can! )
I didn’t weigh both trunks, but just from carrying them from my basement to outside, I would say its a good 15 pounds or so!
Next step is installing the stock tails when they arrive, I paid for them today.

I never messed with them, so I don’t know much about it. As long as it is not as useless as the gameboy tuner that people used to use, then I would say maybe!
ya that’s one great looking car outside
sell that shit spoiler and let me weld the holes up, lets slam it, get a front lip right on the ground. Take the side mirror off, wipers, seal the front holes, seal the cowl up. Get the car thew the air better. It need to have at least 1 miss colored fender, and some primer. You can put some time in with the #1 budget go fast mod that cost $3.99 with a lifetime supply.
2,050# race weight and 640whp neonGLH/studderin/Dmarino husslin’ for rent money 09’ project :snky:
f making it look nice. hit a deer with it and write on it with sharpies and get it ready for the track.
is it going to be as fast as this?
