Kindle fire help with DVDs not playing

So we are taking are daughter who turns 1 this saturday on a crusise next week to the caribbean on the Oasis, the only way she sits still is if she watches Marmaduke,She will literally sit still and watch the whole movie. I bought a Kindle fire and ripped it to my comp. with DVDfab 8 and converted it to mp4 but when I play it on the fire there is no sound and it lags like nuts.

What am i doing wrong? I put it under gallery on the fire and it shows up fine, it just doesn’t work. I really need this to work so i can get her to sit for the flight down to ft. lauderdale.

Any suggestions???

Not sure of why that is happening. We’ve had no issues with ours using DVD Catalyst. Try www.kindle-fireforum.com/ maybe they can help ya out.

Probably ripped it to too high a resolution and the slow processor in the fire can’t handle it. Try ripping it again to a much lower resolution.

maybe something like this? (I’ve never used it)

It will still spit out the file in mp4 format.

The fire plays video’s at 1080 with no issue at all. I would find it hard to believe thats the issue.
