King of the Streets - WNY Street Car Shootout

I wont be racing. :frowning:

In! I’m not participating in the actual race though. I’m bringing my car on a trailer. Just wanted to point out to the N/A guys that the high is supposed to be 61 degrees. Look for some GREAT air to make some power, plus with a decent turnout of cars, the track will still be in good shape. Perfect day to set some personal bests!

The winning combo baby!!!

Guys I polished all 6 trophies last night. Man I hope it doesn’t get rained out. This has potentional to be a hell of a cruise and huge meet. Perfect way to close the season out

The tune isnt the problem. Not having enough wastegate is. Put in the lowest spring they make and its not controlling the turbo. Either bad placement or too small a gate. FML

what size gate are you running? I know that in some cases the larger gates have a much harder time opening, and sometimes it makes more sense to run twin 38mm gates for some setups.

aren’t there a ton of turbo LS1 setups now? what works for everyone else?

It’s a 40mm gate. This was able to control a TC76 that the guy who had the kit before me had. I went up to a precision 7675 and it obviously isn’t working. So my options are a much larger single gate or 2 tial 38’s. Could be poor placement but this kit was built by a reputable well known company so I find that hard to believe.

Lots of people have similar if not the exact same setup since its pretty popular kit.

That’s great for lots of people. It’s not working on my car. I wish there was an “ah ha!” moment and it was fixed but everything is routed correctly and it has the lowest available spring. I even tried it on my bench with my compressor and the waste gate functions as it should. One guy on tech, “nitroused383” has the same kit same turbo same gate. He has a 346 and I have a 370. He also experiences boost creep but not to the extent of mine. I would imagine my larger motor with a boost spec cam is only exacerbating the problem.

that sucks man.

this is the first time i have heard of having too much boost…

Its time for your big boy pants. Its fully built and well tuned ehhh so why not run the 17lbs+ like you wanted? Car like this IMO deserves to be in RAPE mode at all times, fuck off the spring bs.

FWIW I ran a single TIal 38mm on my old single 76, and never had issues. Do you have a picture of where it is mounted? That does make a huge difference.

Like I want to run race gas all the time

my buddy runs 112 on the street. pretty fun lol

Look’s like the rain will be over on Sat, the small chance of showers on Sun, that they’re talking about is “lake effect”, 99% of ppl & place’es won’t see anything.

So be ready for the “Go Fast Playoff’s”

What time does track open sundays? Im planning on going wheeling saturday trying to figure out if i need to come home sat night or sun morning.

Jeep or quad?

Track opens at 11 racing @ noon

Dan, What is your best time so far?
