anterior carotid artery, jesu, i didn’t think it was possible for someone to live if that was cut. I guess the trainer had to pinch the artery with his fingers to stop the bleeding, or at least slow it down… probably the scariest moment in hockey history

Wow. That was fricking awesome to see kapanen trying so hard to get up like that. It gave me chills. If you’ve ever been hit that hard in an situation, even hitting your head so hard snowboarding or something, the last thing you want to do is get up and hurry to a place when you’re on slippery ice and wearing a shitload of equipment.
