Kumho Ecsta ASX

So the tread on Ecsta ASX’s are asymmetrical, one side of the tire says outside.

I assume that side of the tire should face away from the car… but doesn’t that sound counter intuitive? In that the tread would be facing opposite direction (the left and right sets), and give different handling characteristic if you turn left or right?

visual example, I hope this works

what allows this to work?

i dont understand all season tires. sorry :frowning:

ur theory makes sense due to design but the way the tires are designed. if u mounted that asx backwards it will wear alot faster

I have these tires on my SHO and Reids Tires said they would not recommend mounting them “backwards” by having the outside of the tire facing inboard. They claimed it to be more detrimental to handling than anything else.
