For the SHO…245/45/17 I am looking at two choices:
Kumho ASX http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+ASX&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=445WR7EASX&fromCompare1=yes&place=1
Falken Azeni ST115http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?sw=false&cs=245&pc=28716&rd=17&ar=45
Both are pretty comparable, here’s the pros to each…
Kumho is asymmetrical (can rotate side to side), 420 treadwear.
Falken has the quieter ride, rim protector, nicer looking tread pattern, 360 treadwear.
Only thing that is making this a difficult decision is how important is rotating side to side? My SHO is lowered and tends to wear a bit more on the inside on the fronts. I have a dedicated set of snow tires so all season traction isn’t much of an issue.
Kumho 711s FTW…id u want a nice everyday summer tire…
Looks like you left feedback on the tirerack site??? I thought about these tires but I really need something that I can get more mileage out of…I average about 20k a year on the SHO. Also, I don’t drive this car too hard so a dedicated summer tire wouldn’t benefit me much versus more of an all season.
i did leave it didnt I…if i dont use them for auto-x i can get 2 summers of spirited driving…but if u need more of an all season the ASX seem decent
