well in a way your height and speed are part of your talent! you can teach anyone how to play football but you cant teach someone height and to be fast!
i was at EMPIRE down in the strip over the summer and i saw plax there drunk as fuck with some young white girls!
PS only reason i was there was because i got in for free and drank for free that night! :ugh2:
i think u might be a fucking idot b/c idk about u…but the hit plax too was helmet to helmet…adn his ass got back up…soo wtf…soo did that make eli manning a fucking tool too???
and if i was plax…i might be a lil pissed b/c idk if u ever noticed last year…but when the steelers got in the redzone…the took one of the tallest wr in the league out…wtf…through it up to that man…hell prob. come down with it…
thats what i feel…that kid was good…get him with a good qb coach in the nfl…and he will be a qb that will get the job done
they didnt pull him out of the redzone offense until he started missing passes but i still think hes a asset to the team. other teams have to respect his presence on the field wether he gets the ball or not!
as for the helmet to helmet hit it should have been a penatly just like lynch’s hit on dante hall last night but thats a whole diffrent story!
no, he will probably get his hands on the ball, realize there are people about to hit him, and drop the ball as usual. ward>burress even with ward 1 ft. shorter than he is now and 2 seconds slower in the 40.
That dude was a fucking tool… I couldn’t stand him. A buddy of mine knocked him the fuck OUT his junior year (my senior year) and it was the best thing ever b/c he was the cockiest asshole I ever saw. There was a #16 that played that year too, forget the name, but he was a good ass reciever, but was hurt I think for a portion of the year… I think he was 2x better than Slap-nuts
um…pulled him out during his 1000 yard season…idk…ur right…u should still have him in b/c in could be another threat the defense would have to worry about…and besides id like to see one of u ppl out there trying to make that catch…chances r…most of u will drop that and be called a pussy b/c u took a hit head to head…
and what no one else said is that through was a bad pass…he left him out to dry with that pass…a lot of ppl would have gotten killed by that pass…
and i do agree ward>plax
ward most underated reciever of the past decade??? how about tim brown, he always gets lost in jerry rice’s shadow, doesn’t have a big mouth like chris carter, just does his job and puts up hall of fame stats every year.
Hines Ward is a Pittsburgh style of player and Plaxico is not… The worst reciever with the most talent is OBVIOUSLY David Boston… That guy is a fuckin Cancer… And to think, we were going to draft him if he had fell 3 more spots the year he was drafted (instead we took another tool, Troy Edwards)… But Plax is a me first kind of guy and Hines isn’t, therefore there will always be a Hines Bias…
I wouldn’t mind a WR lineup of Ward and Randel El, with Mays as the 3rd reciever, and then picking up someone half decent in the 2nd round of the draft next year… I would just as much lex Plax go, I dont think it would hurt us very much.
number 16 was mark stefanski and that kid had the the heart to play D1 but just not the size. hes a CMU playin ball right now. he was out for the early part of the year because he got hit hard and had concusion that the doctors wouldnt clear him of for a few weeks even though he was fine!
slappy was really cocky and not many people liked him because the favoritism he got on the team but when you have one of the best QBs in the US throwing to you, its going to make you look good!
a team full of pittsburgh style players isn’t gonna win a superbowl, its time to forget about the 70’s and realize that blue collar shit is over.
i cant see it hurting us but then again i cant really see it helping us. like i said before he is still a threat because of his height and he needs to be respected on the field. if he went to a garbage team and was the lone “good” reciever you know he would get the ball and then youd hear everyone in pittsburgh bitching about letting him go!
when you have a very good QB in college throwing to you and you are a star reciever it’ll make u look even better Rod to Larry
i also think the era of teams playing a run first pass second style of offense is over. it puts too much pressure on the defense to keep points off the board! run style offenses dont produce points it just chews up the clock!
:bsflag: :bsflag: New England is full of New England style players… Guys that aren’t superstars, aren’t super high payed (except for Ty Law), they just go out and play there asses off at positions where other teams just took them and threw them on the trash heap (like steelers with mike vrabel) and they’ve won 2 out of the last 3 super bowls…
we don’t have the line like we did in the early 90’s and we don’t have a Tomlinson or a Dillion or even a curtis martin. But we also don’t have a manning or a brady so where does that put us? about 8-8
so tom brady and corey dillion aren’t stars?
They haven’t won with Corey Dillion yet… I’m not counting him.
And honestly, I don’t think that Tom Brady is in the upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks. I think he fits well in Belichick’s system, but I dont think he is a Peyton Manning or a Donovan McNabb, where you could plug him into any style offense he would still tear it up.
