fitzgerald is responsible for alot of Pitts success but also the recognition we got while he was playing…so be thankful for what he did when he was here.
pitt’s success? what success? they haven’t won shit. larry was here two years. what recruit did they land because of him? Antonio Bryant did more for the program as far as recruiting than larry did. So what they got some national attention, you can have all the attention you want if you WIN!. Look, larry was great while he was here but i can’t see him comming back to pittsburgh and helping out like other pitt grads. People think they should retire his number. thats a joke. he played two years!!! You Don;t see pitt giving much props to curtis martin do you, no because he left pitt high and dry as did larry. Your time in football to make a name for urself is small. instead of being a great reciever larry could have been the greatest EVER!!! That’s making a name for yourself. Besides if larry was soooo great why didn’t he come back and do it one more year without ROD!!!. Rod gets hardly any credit but he put up numbers to rival any of the top QB’s in college. Rod will be a QB in the NFL by next season, maybe not starting but he will get his chance. Rod made larry look great.

rod rutherford is overrated and will never be a QB in the nfl. i think you have it mixed up. larry fitz made rod look a hell of alot better than he was. if the QB was so great he shouldnt have been making some many “spectacular” catches
