Laptop acting wierd: Help need diagnosing...

HP Laptop, approx 4-5 years old.

No changes to the computer lately, nothing added or nothing new, just normal internet useag, Here are the weird things I have been happening.

  1. In the my documents folder, which is on the “c” drive, I select a file, right click the file and move the cursor down to “send to” and the options for send to box do not apperar, it just sits there not responding… wtf? and will not respond, task manager says that its not responding…

  2. Internet explorer, In the address box, I could normally just type [www.Nameof anywebsitehere.com](http://www.Nameof anywebsitehere.com) and it would go where ever I wanted, now I have to type Http://www before everything or it will not work at all, wtf ?

I have cleared all the internet files, restored the factory internet settings, cleared cookies, ran the defragment and nothing changed. Can anyone help me with this one?

uninstall KB908531 from your add/remove programs list (click show updates option to see it)… that should fix the IE problem… just be sure you dont re download the update from MS;

that MAY fix both issues… if your “send to” problem still persists… you may have the beginnings of unhappy hardware…

forgot to mention… delete ALL temp and internet temps as well
