for some reason my battery icon doesnt show up anymore in the taskbar. doesnt matter if its on battery or if its plugged in. in the power options menu its set to display and in the taskbar menu its listed as a past item. any ideas?
try locking and unlocking the taskbar… and moving it around
edit: if not go into the services
start > run > services.msc
and disable ssdp discovery services
and disable universal plug and play device host
(disable on start up )
restart…
and see if it shows up then… if it does show up great… if not set the two services back to manual … and tell us the results
Try going to the control panel and the power options or whatever… There should be a check box somewhere in there to have the icon on the taskbar.
mine disappears sometimes if i dont restart every couple weeks. restart and its back for me.
i just had a few beers and stared at it. seemed to work.
