So I have this laptop, and it has an extended battery. Windows and any 3rd party program seem to think that it’s plugged in. So I have no battery meter. Anyway I can fix this?
right click on the desktop and go to properties
screen saver
power
advanced
always show icon on the taskbar
It may need an update, chipset or something related, to properly recognize the battery.
control panel->power settings
u can check everything about ur battery and how laptop functions with or without the battery
With the extended battery, the computer is thinking that there is no battery present/it is plugged in - so instead of a battery meter, he sees a plug.
+1
PS - I’ve checked sony’s site and there are no updates to solve this issue.
the battery is a sony battery so the problem isn’t some stupid third party battery
And Howies post accurately describes my problem
So when it catches on fire you can just get a new laptop then.
and a skin graft
You’re going to have to wait for an update then. I interpretated the situation the same as Howie. Maybe Windows update? Or have you gone through the barrage of updates already?
upgrade he motherboard firmware?
