Just got back to beautiful Upstate NY from Florida and here’s some of what I shot at Bike Week 2011. Subscribe to my YouTube channel to see new updates! Daytona night life video featuring half naked (everyones favorite) girls is in the works!
I missed Superbike Race 2 due to the red flag and SPEED was forced to extend the coverge so I didn’t record it…
Fixed your video embed for you!
Sticky on how to use the embed is in the video section.
Good vid, looked like fun
Thanks, very helpful embed info. I’ve seen it done differently on other forums but that works for me.
How was FL? How was bike week overall? Worth going? - besides the half naked girls ofcourse.
It’s the second time I’ve been to Daytona on a road trip. This was my first Bike Week. Florida seems to have its pros and cons, like anywhere else. The weather alone is probably enough for most people to venture down there from snowy upstate NY in March. When you add the half-naked women and exotic bikes it’s tough to compare. Food and drinks are still rediculously affordable. We found $6 pitchers, and .85 cent slices without looking very hard. Gasoline was about .30 cents cheaper when we first got there, and a brand new house (not trailer) starts at $110k. On the down side, Florida doesn’t seem to have the most intelligent or highly motivated residents. This can be a problem when trying to perform simple tasks like getting directions, or communicating with the landscaper. There also seems to be about 10x as many po-po cruising around greater Volusia county than anywhere I’ve ever seen. We racked up a collection of moving/non-moving violations to prove it. Probably the biggest let-down was the flat and straight nature of every single road in the state. Fine if you’re running from police, or doing top-speed pulls in your 1200whp Ford GT. But, for the motorcyclist who enjoys taking a turn every once in a while, utterly boring. Next time, you’ll still find me at Daytona Bike Week. But I probably won’t be on my bike.
