Laundry help needed ASAP

So. I had a load of my very expensive shirts in. SOmeone (my step mother) took them out of the washing machine last tues and left them. So they have been sitting for a week, wet. They all smell horrible now, and have red spots on them. I assume its some kind of mildew. WTF am I supposed to do now?

These are all dress shirts. All tolled, probably $2k worth of shirts with little red spots…

ur out 2k

$2k worth of shirts in one load, Take that ish to the dry cleaner next time

seriously, if you have expensive shirts take them to a dry cleaners…they will last longer and look better anyway.

PS - you can take them to a dry cleaners, they should be able to salvage a good portion of them

eh. They usually go to the dry cleaner. Once in a great while ill toss them in a super light load.

Am I really fucked?

^^^^^

awesome. I counted 4 Canali shirts, and 5 Zegnas in this load. :frowning:

What were they sitting on?

The red spots might be rust. Either way they are probably fucked.

w/e. Sucks royally, but in reality this is like 4% of my wardrobe, so I cant be to pissed…

bring them to the dry cleaner anyways and see what they can do.

they might be able to clean them up.

and it’s a professional opinion.

Put abercrombie on the shirts and sell them on ebay

wow you have a $50k wardrobe

You might have lost those clothes but have gained a valuable lesson. I take basically all of my dress shirts to a dry cleaner. It usually costs less than $2 a shirt and you don’t have to worry about ironing, shrinking, coloring, etc.

word nothing worse than ironing a dress shirt and fucking it up…

dry cleaners > *

take them to a dry cleaner and see what they say? this thread is pretty worthless :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would you ever be washing nice shirts in the first place? Anyway, stupidity aside, don’t try and do anything yourself. Take them to the cleaners… a good one, not Johnny Q Shady DimSum. If anyone can get it out, they can. You aren’t going to get an answer off this website for some do it at home fix that I would even recomend on your 10/$10 undershirts.

jeez man, take your good stuff to the drycleaners.

BLEACH…lmao…

Youre fucked.

meh

went to dry cleaner. Like 3/12 are salvagable. Im not too heartbroken.

but lesson learned. dry cleaner from now on…

I mean in terms of # of shirts I have, not price…

Price wise, its more like 30%
