Just bought a Samsung 46" LCD 1080P. It has USB ports. Can these be used to connect external hard drives? Can media files be read from external storage? Media formats?
this seems like a question that could have been answered by the manual that came with the TV in less time than it would have taken to type it.
Well dumbass…I dont have the manual in front of me at the moment
Search the internet for the manual?
what makes you think that we do?
Ok, let’s go one further. Plug something in and see what happens, or failing that, maybe try google.
Seems like the obvious thing to do, unless you’re wanting to brag about your TV, which is also fine, just don’t veil it as a silly question.
are you confusing the hdmi ports for a usb ports?
The USB ports are so when you watch porn you can charge your Fleshlight at the same time.
I don’t. In which I would not expect you to reply if you had zero knowledge on what I am asking.
Only supported media types which is typically pictures, and if you have a fancy TV, MP3s. No, it will not start playing all of your downloaded porn.
Samsung TV’s support mp3 from a thumb drive… i doubt it will recognize a HUGE external HD, but its worth a shot… it will NOT play movies or any other media
Here are the ports available.
i dont see any usb, so i think your confusing hdmi for usb. hdmi is High-Definition Multimedia Interface. its a cable used for the best picture. if you have a blueray player or ps3 get the hdmi cable.
if your also refering to the wiselink, its for putting pictures and music on your tv
I don’t think you can use it to play movies…MP3 is possible.
That port is probably there for firmware upgrade purposes.
:picard: THERE AREN’T EVEN ANY FUCKING USB PORTS!
i think he was refering to the wiselink
put a DVD in there
YOUR DOING IT WRONG
I will buy this TV right now as we speek 50 bucks
wiselink is USB, apparently
