Le Royal Méridien King Edward?

Anyone stayed at this hotel in toronto recently?

Got it on a priceline deal for 60 a night. I was shooting for the Westin Harbour Castle, but got this…

Reviews are coming up as it being a dated and overpriced hotel, with no pool.

Uh oh…

haven’t heard much about it. too bad you didnt get the harbour.

i’ve stayed at both the harbour and delta chelsea. both nice hotels

where’s Brett, he helped me pick hotels to choose from.

:thumbs up: to the delta chelsea.

wow that must be pretty bad for it to be overpriced at 60 a night

its over 200 a night list price on the hotel website.

I got it for 60 on priceline.

wow, thats quite a discount. but for $60 a night who cares if its just a bed, tv, and bathroom? the holiday inn downtown goes for about $100.

I wouldnt necessarily worry about people’s bad reviews, imo people are generally more likely to go and put up a review if they’ve had a bad time, than people are who had a good experience. So, what in reality is a minority of the people, seems like a large portion of people because they are the only ones writing reviews.

With that said, I’ve looked at pictures of that place and considered staying there before, and it looks nice. Its all in old victorian style, similar to the Royal York, which is a nice hotel. If its all in good shape, someone would need to be a dumbass to say it was dated. If its run down, then thats another story. However I dont know anyone who has stayed there so I cant offer an opinion.

The only problem with the Westin Harbour Castle is that you cant really walk anywhere from there (Yonge st, shopping, etc), but cabs are abundant and cheap.

If you’re paying $60 per night and there aren’t many cum stains on the sheets you got a deal.
