Lethbridge Drift Competition and Practice

Helmets are mandatory, as stated on the poster. I will basically ok any type of motorbike/car helmet, we really dont need helmets in our insurance agreement, but i have chosen to make them mandatory.

As far as tech, make sure you arent leaking anything, brakes must work, must have seatbelt, remove floor mat, must have a battery tie down, also must have tread on the tires.

Drader, ya, im not going to be driving…thats ok though, ill be making passes periodically to show everyone how things are supposed to be done…haha…jk.

Anyway guys, hope to see lots of you there!!! For most of you this is the LAST DRIFT EVENT OF THE YEAR!! Other than SCC Calgary, but that field is already decided i believe.

Like ive said, i plan on giving the drivers as much seat time as i possibly can, this is a learning event with a competition thrown at the end for fun. As for prizes, Autodream is giving some sort of gift certificates, and MAK customs here in lethbridge has some really cool stuff to give away for the winners.

Course layout is going to be challenging, so you will actually be able to learn, rather than just being bored all day doing some super easy track.

I might be comming down for the event. I still have lots of tires left over from D-sport calgary.

Doooo itttt!!

^^Ditto. The car should be ready to go by then too. What’s the course looking like Chris? Any more walls I can plough into? Maybe a right-hander this time? Even things up a bit.

B-Wurm

Hahahaha.

maby a real live indidan… Taaaa

So what is going to happen with this event with the weather and all now?

Eff the weather, lets do it anyway. Should make it more interesting.

Yeah, it’s still a go, hopefully it doenst end up raining after all, but at this point its too late to reschedule.

Sweet ass im probably going to go for the practice. Im definatly not competing

If your already there practicing, you might as well try the competition. Most of the day is going to be practice anyway, if you do the competition you just get more seattime than if you dont, and that’s what it’s all about anyway.

Seattime when the police arent after you is awesome.

So did this go on as planned? I couldn’t make it out, i was waaaay to drunk the night before and drving 2hrs on an hour and a half of sleep just doesn’t do it for me.

Yep, it went as planned. The track dried up really good too. It was still cold, but we had 26 or 27 drivers during practice, and the competition was very exciting. Thanks to everyone who came out.

1st - Pat
2nd - Robb
3rd - Devon
4th - Migs
5th - Quenton
T6th - Louren
T6th - Kenji
8th - Drader

Good job guys.

Did you guys tandem the final 8?

How bout some pics?

Whoo! 6th FTW, sorta

Great event Chris! :drinkers:
B-Wurm

It was tandem format, but not actual tandem. It was very exciting compared to non tandem format, and not quite as exciting as actual tandem. It was wicked to have one guy against the other, instead of just announcing it at the end, you could see right there when someone won or lost.

The battle of the final two was so intense, but even the top four was a very good fight.

ya it was fun to watch but the only that u should change chris is not let brad with his gay pink truck try and drift course that was so lame it wasnit an auto x mang

Without Brad this event wouldnt have been possible at all. I agree, it would have been cooler if he didnt have his drag radials on…lol. He just wanted to beat on it since he couldnt go drag racing that weekend.
