SEOUL, South Korea (AP) – An exploding mobile phone battery apparently killed a South Korean man in the first such known case in this gadget-obsessed country, police say.
The man, identified only by his family name Suh, was found dead at his workplace in a quarry Wednesday morning and his mobile phone battery was melted in his shirt pocket, a police official in Cheongwon, 135 kilometers (85 miles) south of Seoul, told The Associated Press.
“We presume that the cell phone battery exploded,” the police official said on condition of anonymity.
I’m skeptical. But then again the story was pretty vague.
bullshit, i have had 3 LG phones all awesome phones. maybe they left out that he had a bomb on his phone and after listening to a secret head boss he didnt throw it.

I take it you have never actually used a quality phone
no i have had 3 different LG phones through out the years i been with Verizon. i have had 0 problems with any of them. i never owned the chocolate that was just a faggot phone so i didnt care to buy it. i have had samsung and it was junk and always froze and i had motorola which was the biggest piece of shit. both the motorola v710 and the krazr. i returned both of them.
I had to have my enV battery warrantied because it was overheating and not holding a charge. The battery would get up to like 120 degrees and die within 3 minutes of usage. Glad it didnt explode haha.
wow, you’ve had 3 good LG phones. its not like they don’t make thousands upon thousands of them or anything. 3 out of lets say 50,000 phones (probably a terribly small estimate) were good. so your 0,006% of their production would be a real good indicator of their overall quality…
Didn’t know there was all this LG hate. I’ve had great luck with LG phones. Granted, I had great luck with Motorola back in the day. Then heard/read about what their phones are like now and knew to avoid them like the plague.
