Line-In on a Mazda 6?

My brother just picked up a new Mazda 6, he wants to get a line in put in so he can listen to his XM radio, while retaining the stock HU.

Anyone in these parts that can do that sort of stuff or know anything about such topic?

I thought most new cars came with a MP3 line in jack.

the only other option would be an FM modulator.

Well, there is’nt one on the front of the stereo.

Go to mazda6club.com.

If he doesnt have the stock tape player, he can get the AUX MOD chip.

There are a few options. That is the cheapest. BUT, I’m not sure if they make it anymore.

There is also mazda6tech.com which may have other sources.

use the fm transmitter on the xm unit?

for the best sound he can use a wired fm modulator, so it would plug directly into the radio. that’d be the way i would do it

im willing to bet theres a phone line in that can be hacked. thats how i have it setup on the saab.

i just had someone call my work about this.
there is no aux adapter made yet for the mazda 6, as of now your best option is to go with a wired FM mod.
PM me if you have any questions

Any links on how to setup a wired FM setup?

He has been using an FM modulator transmitting to his antenna and he hates it because it sounds like shit and is amplified by the gound acoustics of the car.
