you should alway mark the cam gear when u are taking the belt/chain off
There should be a timing mark on the cam gear you are suppose to line up
Like I said I mark the other stuff but didn’t even relize to do the gear.
The crankshaft sprocket has a mark on there and on the engine but the manual tells me to rotate it 3 notches left then 1/2 notch right but(even in the haynes picture) the marks don’t line up. I don’t know what it means by “notches”,the teeth on the sprocket? Once I line up the cam gear I’ll go to turn the sprocket to its position, but won’t turning the sprocket move the cam gear?
I don’t want bent valves so I’m asking alot of questions.
