It would never do it while we were tuning it and I have now way to data log.When tunning he was able to alock unlock the convertor at will, so I dont think it could be wiring We are prob. change transmission lines because I could be getting a kink in the hose since it is so close to the tranny tunnel
it is a hodge built one too. i have the same one in the blue GTO on spray. been fine for him. not sure with this one. even has really big trans cooler.

I’m confused how a 460le is “faster” than the 480le? I’m assuming you mean built 460’s? If towing strength is any indication of it’s ability to withstand abuse, then why to the 460’s eat themselves when you tow shit bigger than a riding mower? Is it an rotational inertia thing? Can’t possibly be a gearing issue, interchangeability of gears makes than a null point.
Misfire table needs softened? Detected misfires will unlock the converter immediately, big cam’s like to do that.
