ok so i wanna make a chart or something in excel
to let someone know… alot of people actually
that when a driving record comes back clean and
i either type in a certain work like OK
it will highlight the cell green for OK automatically
and when i put in NO GO it will highlight the cell in red
and when its pending it can highlight the cell in yellow or caution
is there anyway to do this or no?
if so a little point in the right direction would be appriciated
Yes there is a way to do this … I did it to a spread sheet I am doing … I’ll have to remember how to do it though

i read all of that and it said nothing about typing in a word and color coding it for you
it just would color code duplicate entries that was it
ya so make a condition yes no pending on another sheet and have it transfer over to that column.
im asking you how i do that.
if i knew how to do that this thread would have been pointless
i need to know how to set up the condition
and id like it to be on the same page so its easier to find instead of click on 3 different sheets
say i enter something like this
543 blahblah no go = highlighted in red when the word no is entered
324 blah bla ok = red upon entering ok
342 eurewurwe pending = yellow upon entering pending or another word i choose
thats what i am looking to do all on the same sheet
Select your cells
Format -> Conditonal Formatting
That should be able to do it for you.
